Goal
How might we help Priya be successful at school by providing cost-effective, convenient solutions that support her daily needs, helping her stay on-track with her studies and budget?
Our big idea
Moving off-campus, Priya faces the challenge of furnishing her space on a student budget. That’s when she discovers Walmart Attic- a peer-to-peer platform under Walmart’s trusted name that helps students buy, sell, and donate pre-loved goods, making affordability and sustainability easy.

Introducing Walmart Attic:
Pre-loved goods. New purpose
A peer-to-peer initiative within Walmart's larger brand which allows users to contribute gently used goods, made available for others to purchase under Walmart's trusted name at discounted rates, promoting affordability and sustainability 🌟 🌟 🌟

How our solution delivers value beyond sustainability:
📱Making Walmart a student’s ‘go-to’ for every need
💬 Drive community growth through peer-help forums
⭐ Introduce “Walmart Contributors” reward users who leave reviews on the sharing forum

As off-campus students ourselves, we deeply related to our persona. Using the Crazy 8s method, we rapidly generated impactful ideas that focused on key priorities: libraries, student incentives, on-the-go convenience, smart shopping, and Walmart Attic.
At Walmart, we empower students like Priya to live with cost-effective and convenient solutions that streamline her off-campus living experience, enabling her to focus on academic success while maintaining a balanced budget.

Where do we go from here?
Given the short timeline of this project, we focused on sketching wireframes that clearly conveyed our concept. Our goal was to create visuals that effectively communicated our ideas, making it easy for both peers and mentors to understand and provide meaningful feedback

However, if we were to look ahead, our vision would include:
-
Sustainability as focus to promote circular commerce and carbon neutral shopping
-
Building a decentralized trust system with verified reviews and community moderation.
-
Establishing marketplace leadership through a fully immersive experience, including standalone retail stores.
-
Expanding into new target segments to drive repeat business and strengthen customer retention.

Through this quick weekend design sprint, I learnt:
-
To balance ambitious ideas with practical solutions within real-world limits.
-
Strengthened my ability to communicate concepts clearly through wireframes that invited meaningful feedback.
-
Developed skills in prioritizing and delivering key concepts within tight timelines.
